Export insight call for SMEs

A LEADING accountancy and business advisory firm is looking to gain a comprehensive picture of how exporting affects small and medium sized businesses.

Ahead of the UKTI-run Export Week, which kicks off today (May 18), Clive Owen LLP is urging businesses to enter their export survey. The company is looking to publish its findings and look at where the region needs to focus its efforts in order to maximize growth.

Margaret Gill, marketing manager based at Clive Owen’s Darlington office, said:

“We’re keen to gain an insight into how SMEs feel about exporting and if they see it as part of their own business strategy. Are they currently involved in exporting or is it an area for growth and what challenges do they face?

“The issues facing small and medium sized businesses can be completely different to that of larger companies so we’re keen to secure an comprehensive picture.”
